A Bit About Me

Hi! I’m Stacey, life coach, teacher, and mom of four. I had always planned on becoming a mother, and I was delighted to start my family. But somewhere between my second and third child, I realized I was struggling. I had my third baby in the spring of 2020, just weeks into the Covid lockdown. That was a tipping point for me, and the combination of a worldwide lockdown, a baby, homeschooling my oldest, and my proclivity to anxiety and depression combined with ADHD led me to feeling resentful, burnt out, and frustrated.  I wasn’t showing up as the mom I wanted and thought I could be. It felt like I had no control over my life, and that I just reacted to my kid’s needs all day (and night!) long. Coaching helped give me the tools to manage my mind (the only thing I could truly control!) so that I could find myself amidst the chaos of everyday life.

During those dark days, all the typical support wasn’t available to me. I lived on the East Coast far from family, babysitters were non-existent, in-person events and mom meet-ups weren’t happening. We did not have the finances to order food regularly and I couldn’t convince myself to take on more work to pay for more help when I was already drowning. Even in a world without a lockdown, I wasn’t able to accept help with my heightened anxiety in those bleary postpartum days. I felt like I had no hope, and no way out.

Does that sound familiar?

If so, let's chat and see if coaching would be right for you!

As I found coaching and worked through mindset tools to care for myself again, I realized that I could be the mom I wanted to be – and I could also be the woman I am underneath all the roles I hold. I could run my home in a way that worked for my neurodiversity, I could find and maintain friendships that fill me up, I could take care of myself in ways that I had put off for years. Now I get to do that for other women who are wading through life circumstances that are hard. That might be a strained relationship with someone you love, a sense of constant overwhelm of your home, a feeling of distance or frustration with motherhood, an inability to implement all those amazing parenting strategies you know about but cannot do in the moment, or a general sense of discontent over the life you have verse the life you dream of.
